Grit | Advance Wars | Not Reserved | 2/3
Grit is extremely intelligent; being able to excel in intel over someone whose speciality is in intel. His intel is always correct, when he does it, showing off his high intelligence. He often covers this up, with his country bumpkin nature, aforementioned need for slacking off, hick slang, such as possum spit, which seems to be his favourite phrase, and shortening words. It often appears to be an act, since he's capable of learning things easily, he's overly competent and is able to do things with ease; often able to overcome his direct range weakness with intel and knowledge.
He can be sarcastic at times, giving his superior the nickname 'O Bearded One' as a joke. He generally only does this towards Olaf; however he always tries to pretend like he didn't say anything. Grit does like to joke around, but he knows when he has to be serious too. If a friend or someone he cares about is in trouble, he'll stop messing around, and immediately tell people where to go or what to do. He's secretive about things too, not always speaking much of himself or telling people things about himself. A big sign of this is while talking to Nell about why he left Orange Star, he interrupts her, telling her he has his own reasons, and still isn't willing to talk about it. But he can make close friends, especially the one seen in another commanding officer, Max. He is fairly modest, saying that he doesn't often hear about his praises being sang and tells Colin to stop it.
He acts on what he sees as right and wrong; the main time we see it come into play is when someone is harming someone else.. While being offered to join Black Hole, Grit comments that he does not believe land belongs to anyone, but he won't join Black Hole due to the mass destruction that had been caused. He generally prefers to be on the good side of things, rather than the bad. In the first game, he often comments on Olaf attacking Orange Star and digging into their territory.
Game Specific:
Arcana: Lovers
Justification: Grit's entireity of leaving Orange Star was inner conflict and despite letting it go, he's still quite conflicted on his feelings. However, his unity with his best friend, Max, can not be debated, and they are as close as ever. In order to keep harmony, he goes along with Olaf as best he can, working with him despite not completely agreeing, just to keep Blue Moon happy. He'll follow his intuition, and do what he feels is right.
